A New Iberia wanted in the robbery of Community First Bank Monday in which an employee was shot has been arrested in Baton Rouge, the Broussard Police Department announced Friday.
Raymond was arrested at his sister’s home and is currently being held in East Baton Rouge Parish jail on counts of attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm.
Police on Tuesday arrested the suspected getaway driver in the bank heist, 27-year-old John Charles of New Iberia.
Police say Raymond shot his way through locked glass doors in the Broussard bank, and the bullet struck a teller in the face. The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Decou said in an email the victim was in surgery Friday, but was doing well.
