Police late Tuesday arrested a Broussard man and are searching for two others accused in an armed robbery around 10 p.m. in Lafayette.
Michael Moore, 28, is accused of principal to armed robbery and aggravated flight from an officer in the incident, according to a news release from the Lafayette Police Department.
Moore is accused of driving a car with two men inside, one of whom police said matched the description of a robber who stole a 20-year-old woman’s purse and phone at gunpoint in the 500 block of General Mouton Avenue.
A police officer responding to the scene saw the man get into Moore’s 2005 white, four-door Honda Civic and pursued it into Broussard, where it was left abandoned.
Police apprehended Moore but did not locate the other two men.
Anyone with information on the robbery or the identities of those involved is asked to contact the Lafayette Police Department or the anonymous Crime Stoppers tip line at (337) 232-TIPS.
