A Cameron Parish road crew on Monday discovered a human head stuffed in a plastic bag on the side of La. 27 in the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge, said Sheriff Ron Johnson.
The head was decomposed, and identification has been turned over to the coroner, Johnson said. Investigators believe it has been out there for months, not years, but a final determination will be made by the coroner, Johnson said.
