Shellie Landry hit three home runs on the day, and the No. 5 Louisiana-Lafayette softball team got solid pitching from Alex Stewart and Kylee Jo Trahan to sweep a Sun Belt Conference softball doubleheader from Troy on Friday in Troy, Ala.

The Cajuns (24-2, 6-1 SBC) picked up an 11-0 win in the first game and capped the sweep with an 8-1 victory.

The teams close out the series with a single game Saturday at noon.

LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE 11, TROY 0: Landry homered twice and Sara Corbello once as the Cajuns won the opening game of the doubleheader.

It’s the 14th time in 25 games the Cajuns have hit multiple home runs.

The Cajuns scored one in the first, two in the second and three in the sixth before closing out with a five-run seventh.

Corbello (2-for-3) tied a career-high with four RBIs.
