For a third consecutive week, the UL Ragin' Cajuns have two players recognized as Sun Belt Conference Players of the Week.
This week, junior linebacker Lorenzo McCaskill was named the Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, while junior placekicker Nate Snyder is the Special Teams Player of the Week after booting a 53-yard field goal as time expired in UL's 20-18 home win over Georgia Southern.
It's the first time UL has had two honorees in three consecutive weeks and the 24th time overall the Cajuns have doubled up on honorees.
McCaskill had a huge game against Georgia Southern, posting 14 tackles in the victory. He's now the only player in the Sun Belt with at least 10 tackles in each game this season. His 36 tackles for the season leads the nation.
The 14 tackles are the most by a Ragin' Cajuns since Tracy Walker's 15 at Appalachian State in 2017.
Snyder's 53-yard field goal was the seventh of at least 53 in the program's history and tied for the fourth longest.
Appalachian State running back Daetrich Harrington was named the Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 211 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries in the Mountaineers' 52-21 win over Campbell.
