Stephone Anthony lost some of his game check this week.

The Saints rookie linebacker was fined $17,313 by the NFL for his hit on Carolina receiver Devin Funchess during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 27-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers, according to a source.

After Funchess caught a 14-yard pass, Anthony hit the receiver in the head and neck area with his shoulder. The play drew a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness.
