Ed Ingram spent three hours Thursday stalking around Tiger Stadium’s football field while LSU practiced.
Ingram will spend three-plus years playing on it, he says.
Ingram committed to the Tigers on Friday, according to a post on his Twitter account.
The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder is ranked as the eighth-best offensive guard in the nation in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports.com. Ingram is a four-star prospect from DeSoto, Texas, with offers from a slew of major college teams, and 247Sports projected him to sign with Alabama before committing to the Tigers.
Ingram spent Thursday in Baton Rouge and attended LSU’s walk-through at Tiger Stadium, where the program hosted hundreds of LSU students. He was seen walking around the field with offensive line coach Jeff Grimes.
Ingram is the fifth commit of LSU’s 2017 recruiting class. Players can make their verbal pledges binding in February on national signing day.
