You won’t miss Paris one bit if you’re lucky enough to live in the French Quarter. So said one 19th century writer who was fortunate enough to live here himself.

This condominium, Unit 6 at 1119 Dauphine St., is close to all the action of the French Quarter, but is located in the quieter, more residential district just two blocks from Esplanade Avenue.

There is little need to invest in a car, if you live here. Groceries, delis and drugstores are all within walking distance, as are some of the most famous restaurants in the world. Arnaud’s, Antoine’s and Galatoire’s all make the Quarter their home, as well as hamburger joints and poor boy palaces. Since the French Quarter is a mere eight blocks wide by 13 blocks long, it’s easy to meet your neighbors at the groceries or taverns in the neighborhood.
