Baton Rouge-based Resource Environmental Solutions L.L.C. has opened its new wetland mitigation bank in Terrebonne Parish.
The 178.4-acre bank will be operated by Resource subsidiary Coastal Louisiana Resources L.L.C. Developers can purchase acreage in the bottomland hardwood, bald cypress-tupelo swamp, and fresh marsh to compensate for impacts their construction causes to wetlands in the Terrebonne Basin watershed area.
“Bayou Terrebonne Mitigation Bank directly enables Terrebonne Parish development activities by providing ready access to mitigation inventory, eliminating costly project delays by proactively satisfying permitting requirements,” Resource Environmental chief executive Elliott Bouillion said in a news release.
