Tickets are on sale for “Singo de Mayo,” a musical revue, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, in the LSU Union Theater, Raphael Semmes Drive on campus.

A play on words makes this grand finale performance by the LSU musical theatre troupe. This year, “Singo de Mayo’s” program will comprise a medley of Broadway tunes, classics and new favorites.

Mason Griffin, a native of Baton Rouge who now lives in New York where he works as a pianist, coach and conductor, will return home to conduct this show. One of this year’s highlights will be the “New York Medley,” arranged by LSU School of Music jazz faculty member Bill Grimes especially for this Music Theatre Class.

Also this year, all alumni of the LSU Musical Theatre Class are invited to join the current class on stage to sing the final number, “Do You Hear The People Sing,” from the Broadway hit musical, Les Miserables.

The musical theatre troupe is directed by Terry Patrick Harris, professional in residence in voice at the LSU School of Music. Tickets are $20, general admission; $17, seniors, faculty and staff; and $10, LSU students. For tickets or more information, call (225) 578-5128 or visit
