Tickets are on sale for Alexander’s Highland Market’s 100-Mile Wine Dinner on Thursday, May 12.
A reception begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by the meal at 6.
The dinner will offer wine from Franciscan Estate, one of Napa Valley’s most venerable wineries, and a meal prepared using ingredients sourced locally.
Beginning with an “amuse-bouche” of mini pulled pork taco appetizers and deconstructed crawfish boil soup and ending with a blackberry gelato-inspired dessert, the dinner will feature flank steak remoulade, pepper-crusted and grilled, rolled with praline goat cheese, drizzled with a whiskey demi, and garnished with pecan brittle.
“It will be paired with Franciscan Magnificat, one of the original Meritage blends in California, founded on Cabernet Sauvignon, and named for Johann Sebastian Bach’s musical masterpiece for its seamless and harmonious taste,” a news release said.
Tickets are $75 per person and may be purchased online at alexandersmkt.com, in-store at guest services, or by calling (225) 615-7800. Seating is limited.
Alexander’s is at 18111 Highland Market Drive in Baton Rouge.
