Just a year ago, the Baton Rouge restaurant scene got a boost from Nick Hufft's Curbside Burgers.
The one-time food truck returned to the capital city in Nov. 2016 with a brick and mortar location at 4158 Government St. To celebrate, the burger joint is collaborating with local businesses for daily specials.
On Monday, Curbside worked with Tiger Deaux-nuts for the crispy chicken Tiger D. If you missed out, here's what the restaurant is serving the rest of the week.
On Tuesday, you can try the Gov't Burger. This collaboration with Gov't Taco features JAY-D's coffee, ancho chili rubbed beef, Chihauhau cheese, Poblano pico, roasted garlic mayo and honey gastrique'd Hola Nola tortilla strips.
On Wednesday, a Pho Burger with The Overpass Merchant comes with a pork patty topped with Hoisin, pickled onion, Srirachi mayo, bean sprouts and an herb salad served with a side of pho to dip the burger in.
On Thursday, Curbside teams with Lit Pizza for a pizza bun burger with a hot Italian sausage patty wedged in between two pepperoni pizza buns.
On Friday, Barbosa's Barbeque will be featured in the The Barbie Burger, which has two Texas-style beef patties, American cheese, smoked onion jam and roasted poblano aioli.
Each day that customers purchase one of the special burgers, he or she will be entered into a raffle, which will be drawn at 5 p.m. Saturday. Among the prizes is free burgers for a year. The restaurant will also feature live music on Friday and Saturday, and beer pairings all week. To top it off, Curbside will roll out its official first brunch service on Sunday.
