A cosplayer dresses as Harley Quinn during last year's Lafayette Comic Con. The event returns to the Cajundome, 444 Cajundome Blvd., opening at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The event features artists, vendors and appearances from stars like Sean Astin, Barry Bostwick and Michael Biehn. Daily passes are $25, $40 for weekend passes.


ST. THERESA BON TON FESTIVAL: 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, St. Theresa Catholic Church, 4822 Carlyss Drive, Carlyss. With food, fair rides and music as well as a garage sale, cake walk and children's activities. Free. 


OUR LADY OF DIVINE PROVIDENCE CRAFT FAIR: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 1000 N. Starrett Road, Metairie. Featuring vendors with handmade products as well as food and sweets available for purchase. (504) 382-1063. 

HALFWAY TO ST. PAT'S DAY: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Overpass Merchant, 2904 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge. Featuring live music from Rockband and festivities to celebrate the halfway mark to St. Patrick's Day. $20 donation gets one free green beer and supports Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

SHRIMP & JAMBALAYA FESTIVAL: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Archbishop Shaw High School, 1000 Barataria Blvd., Marrero. Featuring music from the Bucktown All-Stars, Joey Thomas Band and The Strays as well as food and fun. Pre-sale tickets $20, $25 day of event.

LALA FESTIVAL: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., The Cajun Picasso, 102 Woodvale Ave., Lafayette. A live craft festival with featured artists, music and barbecue. $5.

PONCHATOULA ART AND WINE STROLL: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., downtown Ponchatoula. Enjoy artwork from local school kids and a wine tasting in the downtown area. Free. 

NINTH ANNUAL NEW ORLEANS BURLESQUE FESTIVAL'S QUEEN OF BURLESQUE: 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., The Civic Theatre, 510 O'Keefe Ave., New Orleans. Bringing the best of classic striptease dancers together to compete for the title. $40-$50.


PERKINS ROWE ARTS FESTIVAL: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Perkins Rowe, 10000 Perkins Rowe, Baton Rouge. The eighth annual event features an arts market, children's art activities and live music.

LOUISIANA COMIC CON 2017: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Cajundome, 444 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette. The two-day event features artists, vendors and fan groups as well as appearances from stars like Jason David Frank, Sean Astin, Barry Bostwick, Michael Biehn and many more. $25 daily tickets, $5 for kids, $40 weekend pass, and $25 military weekend pass.
