CELTIC BAYOU FESTIVAL: Opens at 6 p.m. Friday, and 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Warehouse 535, 535 Garfield St., Lafayette. The third annual event features a crawfish boil on Friday night, and cook-offs, music and a pub crawl on Saturday. $10 Friday. $15 Saturday. $20 weekend passes and $100 VIP passes available. Ages 12 and under get in free.


AMITE OYSTER FESTIVAL: 5 p.m. to midnight Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Downtown Amite. Celebrating everything oysters with live music, carnival rides and a parade.


ST. PATRICK'S DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL: 8 a.m., Uncle Earl's Bar, 3753 Perkins Road, Suite 3, Baton Rouge. The ninth annual concert features music from The Chee-Weez, Parish County Line, 17th Floor and The Chase Tyler Band as well as food trucks and drink specials. $20.

SPRING STREET CAR SHOW: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 211 W. Main St., New Roads. A showcase of hundreds of antique cars in the downtown area. 

WEARIN' OF THE GREEN PARADE: 10 a.m. to noon, starts at the intersection of Hundred Oaks Avenue and South Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge. This 33rd annual parade celebrates St. Patrick's Day, rolling through the Garden District neighborhood and to the Perkins Road overpass.

PATTY IN THE PARC: 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Parc International, downtown Lafayette. This annual St. Patrick's Day celebration features performances from Gin Blossoms, The Chee-Weez and Highway 90. $15 at Ages 10 and under get in free.


SPRING ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOW: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Poche Plantation, 6554 La. 44, Convent. Vendors selling various works of arts will be on hand during this annual fair.


LOUISIANA CRAWFISH FESTIVAL: 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday; hours expand throughout the weekend. Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center, 8245 W. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette. This annual event features Cajun entertainment, music, carnival games and, of course, crawfish. $5.
