Architects will give an informal presentation at 4 p.m. with a formal presentation at 6:30 p.m. of the design concept for the library's renovation. Those attending are invited to give feedback.

Dr. Jonathan Roberts, former director of the Charity Hospital System in Louisiana, will speak about his experience and discuss the book he co-authored, "A History of the Charity Hospitals of Louisiana: A Study of Poverty, Politics, Public Health, and the Public Interest."

Book Talk: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., EBR Carver Branch Library, 720 Terrace St. Author Kwaku Kushindana will read an excerpt from his chapter in the book "Black Lives Have Always Mattered," edited by Abiodun Oyewole.
