Louisiana's Old State Capitol's exhibit, "Running for Office: Candidates, Campaigns, and the Cartoons of Clifford Berryman," shows us that nothing is new in the landscape of American politics.

Berryman created his cartoons for the Washington Post and Washington Evening Star more than a century ago, yet the political divisions, tactics used to woo voters, even elected officials' retreat to the golf course were the same in the early 20th century as they are today.

The show runs through Sunday, July 3, at the Old State Capitol, 100 North St. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.
