The 24th Sounds of CommUNITY concert will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 544 Government St.

This year’s concert will be in tribute to two African-American leaders in the community — Vivian Walker, a longtime member of the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge and past coordinator of the concert, who died in 2013; and the Rev. Freddie Henderson, co-founder of the Holy Grill. He was serving as president of the federation at the time of his death last fall.

The will feature musical selections performed by Jordan United Methodist Church, Runnels School harpist, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, St. Aloysius Catholic Church, St. Luke United Methodist Church, St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, Wesley United Methodist Church and others.

The concert is free, but a donation will be taken.
