The Bayou Country Superfest is set to return to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans over Memorial Day weekend in 2018, organizers announced Monday.
The talent roster will be revealed on Oct. 24.
The first seven editions of the Bayou Country Superfest played out at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. The 2017 edition was forced to move because of off-season renovations to the stadium.
The first Bayou Country Superfest weekend in New Orleans included a free opening night at Champions Square followed by two nights of concerts at the Superdome featuring Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Hank Williams Jr., Brooks & Dunn and more.
Total attendance for the two nights of ticketed concerts as well as the free opening night and daytime activities was approximately 60,000, according to Festival Productions Inc.-New Orleans, the co-producer of BCS.
The festival's move to New Orleans did not reverse a now-three-year trend of declining ticket sales. But organizers have decided to try at least one more year at the Superdome.
