Perkins Rowe might have the elixir for the upcoming summer heat — popsicles.
The mixed-use development announced Monday that Rock n’ Pops will open in May.
Rock n’ Pops is a gourmet paleteria that offers more than 20 flavors of homemade popsicles. Seven of those popsicle flavors will be cream-based, seven will be fruit-based, and the remaining seven will be based on flavors from Ambrosia Bakery.
Among the flavors is Fat Elvis, which is peanut butter and banana cream-based rolled in chocolate and sprinkled with candied bacon. Other flavors include Rocky Road and Wedding Cake.
The 844 square feet store is located across from Barnes & Noble, near California Pizza Kitchen. Ian Vaughn, the owner and founding partner of the Perkins Rowe restaurant/bar/concert venue Lava Cantina, is the owner of Rock n’ Pops.
