I thought my father-in-law, Haywood Cook, made delicious Italian-style salads, but I lost his recipe when I changed computers.

This recipe for Italian-style Salad is one that I created by experimenting and remembering most of the ingredients he put into his salad.

He served the tomato mixture tossed in iceberg lettuce. If you like, you can use a blend of lettuces with the iceberg.

Tomatoes, celery, olives, capers, anchovies and green onions are mixed into a garlicky olive oil.

All you need to do is spoon a little of this over salad greens or toss it all together for a wonderful blend of Italian flavors.
