This is a different cake to serve with our delicious Louisiana strawberries.

The cake begins with a mix, and to that you add orange juice and orange zest. That hint of orange blends well with the fresh berries.

The egg yolks are used in the cake batter and the egg whites are used for a meringue on top of the cake, so separate them carefully.

After the cake batter is poured into the pan, a meringue is spooned over the top and they bake together.

Right before serving, top each piece of cake with sliced berries and whipped cream.
