Contemporary artist Jacqueline Bishop, of New Orleans, and chef Phillip Lopez, of Restaurant Root in New Orleans, combine forces for "The Art of Food!" at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Louisiana Public Broadcasting Studios in Baton Rouge.
The event "will challenge Lopez to interpret Bishop's work in the medium he knows best — one to which we can all relate: food," a news release says. "The unique partnership will explore what art and food can teach us about the Louisiana landscape, climate change and the world around us."
Bishop addresses landscape issues "by creating symbolically rich images that express her concerns as natural habitats yield to human pressure," the release says. Bishop is scheduled to attend and her work will be on display at LPB.
Lopez will prepare a four-course meal, complete with wine pairings. Cost is $125.
Co-presenter is Country Roads magazine. For more information, go to lpb.org.
