DETAILS: Whole blood, double red cell, platelet and plasma donations are needed. Donors will receive a $10 Amazon.com gift card via points in the center’s online rewards store. Donors can save about 20 minutes by completing their Fast Track Health History the day they donate at UnitedBloodServices.org, click on the “Health History Questionnaire.” Volunteer blood donors must be 16 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors receive a free cholesterol test. A photo ID is required to donate.

DETAILS: The 5K event promotes awareness, acceptance and inclusion for those affected by autism. Proceeds from the event support Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge’s program, Resource Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, which provides individualized services, information and support to enhance the independence, productivity and inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
