The LSU AgCenter will hold its annual poinsettia show and sale Nov. 27 at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden, 4560 Essen Lane.

More than 20 varieties of fresh poinsettias — including both classic and unique types — will be on display and for sale. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the orangerie and pavilion at the Botanic Gardens.

The show and sale will feature varieties from breeders from around the world that have been evaluated at the Botanic Gardens, which participates in a national trial program for new and classic poinsettia varieties. A limited number of each variety will be available.

Those attending can participate in a survey and rate the varieties on display.

Admission is free and open to the public. Plants are $12 to $40 each. Proceeds help fund educational initiatives at the Botanic Gardens.
