Accompanying the queen were Jayden Cabrera, Ciera Thibodeaux, Evan Bujol, Brennan Bujol and Brady Ferachi.

Master of ceremonies John Morgan opened the tableau with the presentation of the 2017 royal court, followed by the introduction of the 2018 ball captains, Clint and Kristi Parnell and Chris and Kari Reeves, who portrayed Charlie Cantrell and Pat O’Brien and their wives.

The ball captains revisited the 1930s era, when Pat O’Brien’s was being converted from a speak-easy to a legitimate bar. They invited famous gentlemen to help create that perfect drink.

From Pat O’s piano bar, dukes and maids were presented while Michael Berthelot and Sharon Bourgoyne Thibodeaux dueled on two grand pianos.

Krewe member Ryan Joseph Olivier portrayed Dean Martin, with Bailey Mae Montagnino, daughter of Chantel Montagnino and niece of Blane and Darryl Ourso, as Lady Blue Breeze.

Humphrey Bogart was portrayed by Jacob Hampton Morgan, son of John and Lori Morgan. Arianna Katherine Koulpasis, daughter of Dave and Melissa Koulpasis, was Lady Sazerac.

Spencer Tracy was portrayed by Tyler Michael Rivet, son of Chad and Kristy Rivet. Representing Lady Mint Julep was Olivia Francis Ledet, daughter of Kynan and Ragan White and the late Bradford Ledet.

Bryan James Landry Jr., son of Bryan and Kim Landry, portrayed Al Capone. Sarah Grace LoBue, daughter of Jarid and Gina LoBue, represented the drink The Purple Rain.

Clark Gable was portrayed by Ethan James King, son of Jason and Toni McCarty and Jason King. Representing the Cat 5 Margarita was Lady Margarita Rose, Cameron Claire Shields, daughter of Keston Shields and Ali Shields and granddaughter of Linda and Roy Zito Jr.

Huey P. Long was portrayed by krewe member Jude Matthew Barker. Lady Cyclone was Devin Catherine Durand, daughter of Daniel and Janee Durand.

Bartenders Hank Grace, Ed Reeves and Joey “Punchy” Daigle served up several cocktails, but it was the Hurricane that became the most popular drink of all.

Krewe members Richie Bolotte, Jason Cavalier, Mark Graves, Clint Landry, Derek Landry, Monty Migliacio, Kane Ourso and Timmy Roddy performed their own rendition of New Orleans’ 610 Stompers.

The tableau ended with a toast to the royal court, followed by the grande promenade and call-out dances. Entertainment was provided by Norris Dates and Power Surge.
