The Carl F. Grant Civic Center in Plaquemine was the setting for "Whiskey Business" when the Krewe of Okeanos celebrated its 39th annual Carnival ball on Feb. 3.
Reigning over the ball were King Okeanos XXXIX Harlan Matthew Bezet and Queen Tethys XXXIX Malori Elizabeth Bezet, daughter of the king and his wife, Suzan Collins Bezet. The royal pair represented American Whiskey.
Serving as ball captains were Bobby and Paula Pitre as The Pilot and The Jetsetter. Kellie Rayne Pitre, daughter of the ball captains, portrayed The Stewardess.
Representing Russian vodka were Courtney Elizabeth LoBue, daughter of Shane LoBue and Tyla LoBue, and Robbie Navarre, nephew of Eddie and Dana Kimble.
French Champagne was represented by Carlee Elizabeth Smith, daughter of Steve and Theda Smith, and Troy Michael Mancuso, cousin of Michael and Tia Campbell.
Chandler Alaina Simpson, daughter of Chester and Shannon Simpson, and Holden Matthew Bezet, son of Harlan and Suzan Bezet, portrayed Mexican tequila.
Italian Wine was depicted by Allison Elizabeth Nicolosi, daughter of Michael and Susan Nicolosi, and krewe member Ty Christopher Devillier.
Carrie Grace Boesch, daughter of Pam Boesch and Thommy Boesch, and Blake Austin Blanchard, son of Brian Blanchard and Tammy Graham and the nephew of Cathie Blanchard, represented German Beer.
