Jovin4

Former 'American Idol' finalist Jovin Webb brings his soulful sounds to Park Place, Gonzales, Friday; Fred's on the River, Prairieville, Saturday; and Tiger Paw Grill and Daiquiris on Wednesday. All shows start at 9 p.m.

Cinco de Mayo is May 5, but that doesn't mean we can't start celebrating a little early.

Case in point: Watson, in the northern part of Livingston Parish, will hold its Cinco Watson Fest on Saturday at Casa Maria Mexican Grill. Catch New Orleans party band Bag of Donuts at 1:30 p.m., stick around for the country/rock sounds of the Chase Tyler Band at 5 p.m. and late-nighters can hear the high energy '80s group the Molly Ringwalds at 9 p.m.

A little south of there, Locals Bar and Kitchen is hosting Rockin' Fiesta with the band Downfall, also at 9 p.m.

The music hits full-tilt on Wednesday, with shows starting as early as 11 a.m. Of special note, After 8's show at Pointe-Marie Square at 6 p.m. (gate opens at 5 p.m.) This one was rained out on April 23.

So, hold on to your margarita. Here we go:
