Well, we dodged another bullet when Hurricane Nate changed his course to a more easterly path. Good news for Baton Rouge, but not so much for our neighbors near the Louisiana-Mississippi state line and points east. We hope you all recover quickly!
Speaking of quick, this fall seems to be flying by. Didn't we just celebrate Labor Day? Some fun things on the horizon include Thursday's Capital Area United Way's Jambalaya Jam, kicking off its 2017 campaign, and the March of Dimes' Signature Chefs Evening; the Junior League's Hollydays, which starts with the Preview Party on Oct. 18, and STAR's Hunks in Heels on Oct. 19. More details on these and other upcoming events can be found in Pam's Party Calendar at theadvocate.com.
