The home at 11731 Silo Drive on a quiet cul-de-sac in The Settlement at Willow Grove is the newest offering from Alpan Developments. The 4,244-square-foot home blends elements of traditional layout and style with contemporary clean lines for a stylish and unique look.
Designed by Architect Dwane Carruth and staged by Andi Holiday, the four-bedroom home has the finest materials and craftsmanship, with English Forest Euro Oak flooring used throughout. “Infinity” quartzite is used in the kitchen and butler’s pantry, while marble slabs are used in the master bath.
The English Forest Euro Oak begins in the foyer, which has upscale lighting and double entry doors. Immediately right is the home office, with a pair of windows to the front. Ceilings downstairs are 12 feet, and interior doors are eight feet. The vaulted ceiling in the living room, however, soars to 17 feet, according to Melissa Landers, the RE/MAX Professional agent marketing the home.
A home office is just to the right of the foyer, while a guest suite with a full bath is to the left. Antique beams cross the ceiling of the foyer as it leads past a custom staircase and into the heart of the home.
The kitchen, formal dining room and living room are all floored in the same exquisite English Forest wood floors. A butler’s pantry edges the dining area, which has a huge single-pane window with a transom above. The living room has more of these big one-light windows, all with transoms above. They view the home’s outdoor spaces, which include a big masonry fireplace that warms the courtyard.
The kitchen features 3cm “Infinity” quartzite slabs on the island and countertops. A 6-burner KitchenAid cooktop is below a custom hood and backed by a wall of gold-trimmed glass tile in a honeycomb pattern. Glass subway tiles are the backsplashes elsewhere in this gourmet kitchen. Two rows of cabinetry are painted, and appliances include an icemaker, wine refrigerator, a KitchenAid refrigerator and dual wall ovens. A large walk-in pantry is nearby.
The big windows that start in the formal dining room continue around the corner into the vaulted living room, which has French doors to the covered outdoor kitchen. No window treatments are installed on these windows and none are needed. The back yard is surrounded by a tall privacy fence, and the property behind is a 3-acre lot with a house on the opposite side, Landers said, meaning privacy is assured. The living room also has a gas-log fireplace, tall baseboards and more of the beautiful English Forest Euro Oak floors.
The master suite, meanwhile, is a private retreat with its own French door access to the outdoor spaces. The master bedroom, also floored in the Euro Oak, has three big windows that view the back yard. The master bath, accessed from the bedroom by a rolling barn door, has 3cm “Casa Bianca” marble countertops and upgraded fixtures. The long master bath has a 6-foot soaker tub and a big frameless glass walk-in shower. There are two master closets, both with dressers and lots of hanging space. The master bath connects to the home laundry and drop-off area, conveniently located by an exit to the two-car garage.
Up the custom staircase, a home theater room is near the landing. There are also two bedrooms separated by a Hollywood bath that has two toilets. The same quality materials, including the English Forest Euro Oak, are used up on the second floor.
Outside, the private back yard has a huge masonry fireplace and an outdoor kitchen with a Sedona grill, a mini fridge and a farm sink.
