Let's start with the basics: Scott Woodward is all about Louisiana.
He went to Catholic High in Baton Rouge and graduated in 1981. He went to LSU and graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1985. From there he served as a political consultant and legislative liaison in Baton Rouge, starting a government and public relations firm in the mid 1990s that provided strategic policy direction to Fortune 500 corporations.
He also worked on behalf of the Louisiana Nature Conservancy and the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and served on the board of directors of the Baton Rouge Food Bank.
According to The Dallas Morning News, Woodward's father was a dentist whose patients included James Carville.
"He's a natural, a natural people person. He reads up on everything. He's aware of the world around him," Carville said of Scott.
