Teenagers from across the country spent Tuesday, July 17, 2018 navigating the high ropes course at the LSU Recreation Center's Challenge Course, Tuesday,  as a part of the sixth year of LeaderShip U, a summer camp which brings together 10th, 11th and 12th  to develop their leadership skills. LeaderShip U's Melinda Stalllings, a consultant who co-founded the program along with with LSU's Continuing Education program, said the camp works on intensely developing the teens' leadership skills through student-led talks on change, communication, conflict resolution, teen awareness issues and development of community service projects to take back to their hometowns, as well as teaching them how to pass on leadership skills to other students at their schools.
