Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 brought the last day of the annual Corn Maze and related activities at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens. The weather cooperated, but earlier rains made for lots of puddles, which rubber-boot-clad children were delighted to jump in. Visitors could test their skills with giant slingshots, pet farm animals, take a hayride, decorate pumpkins, ride a children's zipline, and play in a giant crib of dried shelled corn. The event, which is a fundraiser for the Botanic Gardens, happens every Saturday in October, and concluded Saturday night with its family-friendly Night Maze, complete with live music, hot chocolate, s'mores and jambalaya.
