Tanglewood Elementary teachers and staff in a parade caravan of their vehicles waved and shouted greetings to their students and their parents, on a tour of about 34 stops and neighborhoods, Wednesday, March 25, 2020.  The parade, which started from St. Alphonsus Ligouri Catholic Church, was a way to keep spirits up during school closures in the Baton Rouge area due to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. Students were given a heads-up and approximate arrival time by Principal Maegen Brown, who estimated about 31 teachers were able to make the parade, which was inspired by a similar event in another state.
