About 4,000 candy-filled Easter eggs were in the sights of youngsters at the Love Alive Church Easter Egg Drop, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at BREC's Memorial Stadium, where a Bat Rouge Police Dept. helicopter piloted by Cpl. Scotty Canzero delivered the goods to with the drop. It was first egg drop in north Baton Rouge in a while, said Love Alive Outreach Pastor Tonja Myles, who said the event, put on in partnership with the Mayor-President's Office, BREC and BRPD, was one of many the non-denominational church has planned to serve the community. Free food, games, entertainment, BRPD's Bearcat armored vehicle and mounted patrol, as well as informational booths with community help for families were also part of the program.
