The name of U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd, Sr., and 45 native Louisianans who died in the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese attack on the U.S. fleet at Pearl Harbor were remembered, their names read aloud and a bell tolled in their honor, at an annual observance on the fantail of the USS Kidd in Baton Rouge, Dec. 7, 2018. The USS Kidd was the first ship to be named after Rear Admiral Kidd, who perished aboard the USS Arizona on that day.
