Only briefly a hurricane, Tropical Storm Barry took its time, making landfall Saturday and slowly making its way through the state, downgraded to a tropical depression, but it left wind damage to trees and electrical systems in the Baton Rouge area that were still being remedied Monday, July 15, 2019.  It dumped huge amounts of rain Monday morning in areas like Pointe Coupee Parish, including the town of Lettsworth, giving residents who thought they were in the clear something to worry about.
