Saturday, April 29, the Junior League of Baton Rouge held its second annual 'Touch A Truck' fundraiser, a unique, interactive, one-day event that allows children to see, touch, and explore their favorite big trucks, vehicles, heavy equipment and more, as well as meet the individuals who protect, serve, and build Baton Rouge.

The event, at BREC’s Louisiana State Fairgrounds, started the day with a 'silent hour,' for those sensitive to noise, before unleashing the horns, sirens and other loud sounds.

Kids got to sit in the seats of large trucks and equipment that dwarfed them, hear the growl of large engines like a cement mixer, and blow horns and sirens, and much more.
