Garbage and recyclables will be collected Monday and the North Landfill will be open.

Regular mail will not be delivered or collected on the 4th of July.

Post offices are closed Monday.

Only Express Mail will be delivered.

Capital Area Transit System buses will run a Sunday schedule on Monday.

All East Baton Rouge Parish public libraries are closed Monday.

East Baton Rouge Parish School Board offices are closed Monday.

LSU and Southern University are closed Monday. Baton Rouge Community College is also closed Monday.

Most banks are closed Monday.

BREC will close these facilities and programs Monday:

Swimming pools at Anna T. Jordan Community Park, City-Brooks Community Park, Gus Young Park, Howell Community Park, Jefferson Highway Park and Webb Park.

Recreation programs and classes, including day camp.

Independence Park Theatre, Magnolia Mound Plantation, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, Highland Road Park Observatory, Baton Rouge Gallery and Farr Park Equestrian Center.

All BREC fitness centers.

These BREC facilities are open on July 4:

BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo.

The Liberty Lagoon Aquatics Center.

All seven BREC golf courses.
