Fly Fishing 101: 8 a.m., Orvis, 7601 Bluebonnet Blvd. Learn the difference between fly fishing and conventional fishing. For ages 12 through adult. Admission is free, but reservations are required. This class will be held at 8 a.m. Saturdays through June 15. (225) 757-7286.

Girls on the Run 5K: 9 a.m., Pennington Biomedical Research Center, 6400 Perkins Road. Race open to adults and children of all ages who will run alongside 500 local girls in third through eighth grade. Event also features music, games and food.

Conquer the Learning Curve: 9 a.m. to noon, Kean Miller, II City Plaza, seventh floor, downtown. The Baton Rouge Area Chamber will host newcomers to learn about Baton Rouge and to network. Unity Day: Noon to 4 p.m., Exxon Mobil YMCA, BREC, 7717 Howell Blvd. Activities include a discussion panel, a health and wellness pavilion, and a showcase of pro-social activities in the region, such as karate, aquatics, arts, games and more. (402) 871-5945 or

NAACP Stop the Violence All-Star Classic: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Bonne Sante Wellness Center, Baton Rouge Community College, 201 Community College Drive. High school champions will compete. Event also includes anti-violence presentations. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.

“All The King’s Men”: 7:30 p.m., Reilly Theatre, Tower Drive, LSU campus. Production inspired by the life of Gov. Huey P. Long. Tickets are $28 per adult, $19 per senior, faculty member, staff member and $15 per student. (225) 578-3527.
