Mass. honors program picks Lee Magnet pupil _lowres

Katherine Skiles, a freshman at Lee Magnet High School, is a delegate of the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders to be held in June in Lowell, Massachusetts.

The congress is an honors program for high school students who are passionate about science, technology, engineering and math, a news release said. The event is meant to inspire, motivate and direct the top students in the country who aspire to careers in science and technology.

Skiles was nominated by Shree Bose, academic director of the National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists, and first Google Science Fair winner, because of Skiles’ academic achievement, leadership potential and passion for science and technology, the release said.
