In observance of Christmas, city-parish offices and Baton Rouge City Court will be closed Thursday and Friday. They will reopen for business on Monday, Dec. 29.
The East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s Office and 19th Judicial District Court are closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Federal offices and courts are closed Thursday and Friday.
There will be no mail delivery on Thursday. Post offices will close at noon Wednesday, although mail will be delivered that day, and will remain closed on Thursday.
There will be no garbage or recycling pickup on Christmas Day.
In East Baton Rouge Parish, curbside recycling for Thursday will be made up on Friday and Saturday. Residents are asked to leave their recycling carts at the curb over the two-day period to allow crews to collect the materials.
For Waste Management customers in Zachary and in Livingston and West Feliciana parishes, Thursday collections will be made on Friday, and Friday collections will be made on Saturday.
East Baton Rouge Parish libraries will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but will reopen with normal hours of operation on Saturday. There will be no CATS bus service on Christmas Day, but routes resume their regular schedules on Friday.
East Baton Rouge Parish public schools and schools of the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge, LSU, Southern University and Baton Rouge Community College are closed for the winter break.
The Louisiana Lottery Corporation will hold no Pick 3 or Pick 4 drawings Christmas Day. Lottery offices will be closed Christmas Day and Friday.
