  • DETAILS: Martin Guidry presents the life of Pierre Guedry. In 1768 Pierre Guedry, of Merligueche, Acadia, arrived in Louisiana with only the clothes on his back. Eventually settling down in Cecilia, Guedry died a successful businessman leaving behind 21 children and many descendants. Guidry will talk about the Guedry, Guidry and Gaidry descendants on the west side of the Atchafalaya Basin. Bring your lunch and leave when you wish.

  • DETAILS: The event will feature more than 130 craft beers from local, regional and national breweries in addition to unique beers created by members of Baton Rouge-area homebrew associations. Food from more than 10 local restaurants and chefs also will be served.

  • DETIALS: This year’s event is all new with a bra art fashion show, chefs’ showcase and silent auction. More than 30 artists designed bras to be modeled in the fashion show. These one-of-a-kind works of art will be included in the silent auction along with products and services donated by local businesses. Chefs from area restaurants will prepare their specialties for sampling. The event is part of Woman’s Victory Open Golf Tournament, which supports Woman’s breast cancer outreach, including its Mobile Mammography Coach, which provides mammograms to under-served women throughout Louisiana.
