An adult and three children were able to safely leave their home after a rear storage room caught on fire Monday morning, the Baton Rouge Fire Department said.
The fire was reported shortly after 11 a.m. at 4705 Cadillac St.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the room where it broke out; the rest of the house received light smoke and water damage. Red Cross staff were at the scene to help the displaced residents with temporary housing.
