The world of geology is the focus of Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center’s seventh annual Rockin’ at the Swamp event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 19.

Visitors will be treated to activities and displays about rocks, gemstones, minerals and fossils; hands-on exhibits by hobbyists; and vendors selling gemstone jewelry, rough and polished mineral specimens, fossils and more.

Also featured are a “Gold” Mine and Treasure Trail where people can hunt for specimens, a stone craft corner, a rock climbing wall, fossil quarry, a rock tumbler jump house and event souvenir buckets.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for children ages 3 to 17, $2 for Bluebonnet Swamp pass holders and free for children ages 2 and younger.
