Capital Area Court Appointed Special Advocates Association relies on dedicated volunteers, organizers said.

The group has more than 150 volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in need of safe, permanent homes.

CASA needs volunteers in order to continue serving children in East Baton Rouge Parish who needs a voice, a news release said.

CASA is accepting volunteers into its next training course, which begins Jan. 19. CASA will hold an orientation session at 11 a.m. Saturday to provide more information about volunteering.
