Sacred Heart of Jesus School joined in a statewide day of prayer for law enforcement on Sept. 14.
Former Baton Rouge Chief of Police Jeff LeDuff was the special guest. Parents joined the student body, faculty and staff for the 7:45 a.m. service.
LeDuff reminded those in attendance of the daily sacrifices law enforcement officials and urged them to thank those who serve. Principal Joan Hutson concluded the service.
LeDuff has two grandchildren at Sacred Heart of Jesus School, first-grader Parker LeDuff and prekindergartner Kelly LeDuff.
