Runnels School 2009 alumnus Patrick Bryan, 24, worked on the recently released “Halo 5,” the latest in the “Halo” video game franchise.
Bryan is a full-time professional animator at 343 Industries in the Seattle area. The company is a video game developer under parent company Microsoft.
“On ‘Halo 5: Guardians,’ I am a game-play animator,” Bryan said. “I work on multiple AI (artificial intelligence) characters’ animation.”
He worked on animation for enemy characters in “Halo 5” and did some character animation for the playable character.
He also has done contract work on the adventure-horror game “The Walking Dead: Season Two” for video developer Telltale Games in California, as well as animation for the action-adventure PlayStation video game “The Order: 1886.”
Bryan said his “ultimate goal as an animator is to … direct a game or movie one day.”
He is the son of Runnels Junior/Senior High School Assistant Principal Monica Bryan.
