Two days after going on sale Tuesday, lots of tickets were still available for the 2015 Miss USA pageant in Baton Rouge — unless you’re looking for choice seats, which are going fast.
The pageant is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, at the Baton Rouge River Center Arena. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com.
As of noon Thursday, only a handful of floor seats remained, priced at $200 a ticket plus fees. The same was true for lower-deck tickets to the left and right of the stage, also priced at $200.
Lower-deck tickets further from the stage, priced at $200, were more plentiful, as were upper deck tickets, priced from $100 to $150. A limited number of $75 tickets appeared to be sold out.
General admission tickets are still available for the Miss USA Preliminary Competition at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, also in the River Center Arena. Those are priced at at $50 plus fees.
Last year, Miss USA BR Productions received an incentive package of $365,000 to come to Baton Rouge, as well as another $1.25 million in tax credits.
This year, the production company was offered a package of $545,000, and it applied for the same amount in tax credits, which are often swapped out for cash by out-of-state film companies.
