Sherlock Holmes mystery starts 2015 theater season at Runnels _lowres

The Runnels Junior and Senior High Drama Department presents Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes classic “The Adventure of the Speckled Band” at the Gladys Hague Runnels Theatre on Sept. 25-27.

In the production, Holmes, played by junior Jarrett LaBonne, and Dr. Watson, portrayed by freshman Kayla Evans, meet Helen Stoner, a new client who fears for her life. To save Stoner, Holmes must use his skills to unravel a mystery that involves India, a band of gypsies, a whistling noise in the night, a sinister doctor and an 8-year-old will.

Featured players are Kaitlyn Landry, as Mrs. Hudson; McKenzie Mayeaux, as Julia Stoner; Rachel Yura, as Helen Stoner; John Wiese, as Dr. Grimesby Roylott; Anna Somerville, as Mrs. Waverly; Sarah Melancon, as The Cook; Jessica DeSimone, as Morgana; Ben Holliday, as Kipper; Haley Brassard, as Honoria Westphail; Camille Doucet, as Marie Armitage; Garrett Miller, as Mr. Milverton; Michael Martinez, as Capt. Louis Armitage; Alex Morgan, as Dirty Ned; and Sophie Edwards, as Bessie.

Supporting cast members are Isabelle McCall, Emma Tooraen, Natalia Tooraen, Jackie Hinkle, Anna Manning, Taylor Koontz, Ainsley Mascagni, Emily Daquano, Aeryn Miller, Kaylee Mancuso, Madisan Milam, Fatima Ahmad, Ian Shaneyfelt, Preston Kyle, Zack Morrison, Tyler Robbins, Alex Vallaire, Ryan Ly and Lance Kraft.
