Baton Rouge area

United Community Bank has named Mark L. Juneau III as vice president and commercial lender in its Coursey Boulevard office.

Juneau, a resident of Livingston Parish, has been in the banking industry since 1997 and was a commercial lending relationship manager for Gulf Coast Bank and Trust in Baton Rouge.

Real estate broker Austin Earhart has joined the commercial team at Stirling Properties as senior adviser, working from the company's Perkins Road office.

Earhart was an agent with Beau Box Commercial Real Estate for 12 years. He has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, specializing in retail tenant and landlord representation and lease commercial properties, including industrial, office, land and investment sales. Earhart attended the University of Mississippi.

The Emerge Center has named Deanna Whittle as chief executive officer.

She succeeds Melissa Juneau, who served in the role for 12 years.

Whittle was vice president of the southern region at The Innovation Institute, a health care innovation company. The Baton Rouge native began her career as a nurse at Woman’s Hospital and has since served in senior-level roles for Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Ochsner Home Medicare Corp. and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. Whittle holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master of Business Administration from the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business.

The Emerge Center was founded in 1960 as the Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation. Whittle will oversee the Emerge enterprise, which includes The Emerge Center, The Emerge School for Autism and The Emerge Foundation.

New Orleans area

New Orleans & Co. has named Stephanie Turner, a 26-year New Orleans hospitality industry veteran, as vice president of convention sales and strategies.

She has been a sales leader with Artisan Wine Co., with knowledge of restaurants and food and beverage. Turner’s experience in hotels includes sales and sales director leadership positions at the Intercontinental New Orleans, Le Meridien Hotel, Fairmont Hotel and the Sheraton New Orleans, in addition to seven years with New Orleans and Co. as director of business development from 2006 to 2013.

Dr. J. Michael Conerly, president and chief executive officer of LAMMICO, was elected to a three-year term on the Medical Professional Liability Association board of directors.

The association represents medical professional liability insurance companies, risk retention groups, captives, trusts and other health care entities. LAMMICO is a medical professional liability insurance carrier in Louisiana. Conerly participated in the MPL Association’s Fellows Leadership Program and served on the activities committee and international section.

Lafayette area

LHC Group Inc. has named Dr. Tricia Nguyen as executive vice president and chief medical officer.

Dr. Benjamin Doga, who had previously served part time in the role, will transition to lead medical director.

Nguyen is responsible for providing strategic leadership and serving as a medical expert for LHC Group and will serve as the organization’s primary clinical adviser with shared accountability for advising strategic direction and overall revenue and earnings growth. Nguyen was a managing partner with Perla Health, a health care consulting firm, and previously worked as senior vice president of Clinically Integrated Networks and CEO of Commonwealth Health Network for Inova Health Systems. 

Nguyen received her bachelor's degree from Creighton University School of Pharmacy, doctor of medicine from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Medicine and medical management executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
